RedPrairie User Conference Reaffirms Vital Role of Latin America in Company Growth, Global Economic Development
Record-breaking attendance at RedShift:2012 includes more than 800 supply chain and
retail leaders
ATLANTA – RedPrairie Corporation, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, wrapped up
its Latin America user conference RedShift:2012 on Oct. 16 in Mexico City. The event drew more than
800 of the region's leading supply chain and retail executives, and an attendance number that was nearly
double last year's conference.
This year's event centered on the ever-evolving complexities of global commerce and highlighted
customers' use of RedPrairie’s comprehensive "Commerce in Motion" solutions in meeting these
challenges. RedPrairie customers in Latin America are embracing the complete solution suite to create
competitive advantage in today’s dynamic business environment.
According to Jeffrey Varon, senior vice president and general manager of business development at
RedPrairie, the implications of record-breaking attendance at RedShift:2012 extend far beyond a
successful event.
"Latin America is one of the most economically viable regions in the world today," said Varon. "The region
is experiencing growth at an escalating pace and its business leaders increasingly understand how the
right technologies can transform regional enterprises into world-class organizations. Latin America is
vital to RedPrairie's corporate growth strategy and, on a much broader level, to commerce and economic
development worldwide."
Varon's claims as to the vitality of the Latin American market are well supported by analyst firms.
Various reports cite the region's low market penetration for supply chain technologies, factored with high
economic growth and few inhibitors to expansion as primary drivers for technology providers such as
RedPrairie to increase its foothold in the region.
Currently, RedPrairie solutions are deployed in hundreds of sites across 11 countries in Latin America.
Varon expects the number of live RedPrairie customer sites in Latin America to triple by 2016, due in
large part to Latin American companies deploying multiple RedPrairie solutions.
"Latin American business leaders are embracing RedPrairie's comprehensive footprint of best-of-
breed supply chain, workforce and all-channel retail technologies," said Varon. "These technologies,
working together, provide unprecedented competitive advantage and speed-to-value for our customers.
RedPrairie and our in-region partners remain highly committed to our current and future customers in
Latin America."
