Using RedPrairie’s Collaboration Portal allows each trading partner to retain control over its data. Each enterprise and trading partner uses rules-based permissions to authorize designated individuals to view and/or update shipments’ transportation status.

The Collaborative Portal serves as an interactive repository of workflows and screens to provide real-time updates detailing the status of every order from shipment to store receipt. Vendors and suppliers use the portal to receive, accept and reject shipment requests for consignee-controlled freight, originate advance shipping notices and track shipments in route. Authorized individuals at destination sites check the portal to verify shipments’ arrival, issuing invoices for verified shipments. On the receiving end, store-based staff can access the portal to manage stock transfers and inventory returns. Carriers transporting the shipments can provide in-transit updates, and schedule pick-up and delivery appointments to minimize in transit delays.
