What sets this configurable solution apart from other sourcing applications is that it not only provides real-time visibility to current inventory across extended supply networks, and factors in expected vendor receipts and production schedules on a date-sensitive basis, it also calculates the shipping costs for each sourcing option based on committed customer ship dates. Allocation algorithms can take into account factors such as product aging and expiration dates, value added service requirements, workload balancing, and dock door capacities.
