Pallet & Load Optimization

The process of constructing a trailer load is a challenging activity with many constraints and parameters that must be addressed through business and customer driven rules. RedPrairie’s Pallet & Load Optimization is a trailer load-building solution that optimizes loading direction and deployment, while minimizing associated trailer asset utilization costs. Pallet & Load Optimization facilitates the actual construction of the trailer loading sequence and validates geometrical packing feasibility and efficiency. The solution has the ability to accept a load definition (the set of shipments with item dimensional detail), and create the physical construction “map” of the trailer, using a geometric solver to optimally construct pallets. It is a standalone solution that integrates with RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management and Transportation Management solutions, providing on-line visual inspection of trailer loads.
