Ingram Micro to use RedPrairie's Workforce Management Solution

RedPrairie Corp., a consumer driven optimization company, has announced that Ingram Micro Inc. will be implementing its Workforce Management application to improve productivity and gain visibility into performance at their distribution centers across the United States.
Ingram Micro offers IT solutions and services from 1,400 suppliers to nearly 170,000 resellers worldwide. The company sought a workforce management solution to gain new capabilities with real time labor reporting, resource planning and allocation and visibility into labor across the distribution network.
"We ran a rigorous pilot trial, and RedPrairie's solution proved to be functionally rich with the features we wanted for improved workforce productivity," stated Terry Tysseland, senior vice-president, operations for Ingram Micro.
He added that Ingram needed a way to optimize their labor and RedPrairie had a labor management system that bolts down to Ingram's warehouse management system to give a more discreet ability to manage the labor in the company's distribution centers. Read more...
