Ninove, Belgium

This charming, Medieval village located a short drive from Brussels is like going back in time to the 15th century or beyond. One local landmark is The Koepoort, or "Cow's gate," a fortress-like town-gate built in the 14th century, then rebuilt some 300 years later for use as a prison.
