Merchants Terminal Implements RedPrairie Warehouse Management Solution (WMS)
Leading 3PL provider to gain labor and operations savings and RF capabilities
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – RedPrairie Corporation, a world leading consumer driven optimization company, announced today that Merchants Terminal, the largest temperature-controlled logistics provider in Maryland, is implementing RedPrairie Warehouse Management to gain RF capabilities, improve productivity and inventory accuracy. Merchants Terminal completed phase one of its RedPrairie solution implementation at its Jessup, MD distribution center and plans to have the entire facility live later this year.
“We have made a significant resource investment in RedPrairie with a goal to exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Merchant’s VP of Sales Ernie Ferguson. “One of our biggest concerns is maintaining a high level of service for our customers as the complexity of their supply chains increases. RedPrairie allows us to effectively manage the flow of cases within our distribution centers while providing real time information and traceability to our customers.”
According to Merchant’s VP of Information Technology Dave Eden, the implementation has exceeded expectations. “We have been planning this implementation for over a year and our team really took the training aspect seriously. I have to give our team an A+ for making this seamless to our customers.”
