RedPrairie announces new offerings from mobile solutions group
Group is focused on creating role-based solutions across the entire product suite
ATLANTA – RedPrairie Corporation, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, announced today that its mobile solutions group is building its suite of applications. The group is focused on developing role-based mobile solutions that can be accessed by a range of mobile devices, are easy to use and require no training.
“We believe that places like the warehouse and retail store have the potential to be completely run from mobile devices,” said Tom Kozenski, VP of Product Strategy at RedPrairie. “Mobile technology is an intuitive, no-train platform that is ideal for certain RedPrairie users to leverage in their day-to-day interactions with our software.”
RedPrairie’s mobile solutions are created with a focus on the end user’s experience. By developing for roles, such as the consumer, store manager, warehouse worker, inventory supervisor, or truck driver, RedPrairie brings mobile solutions to market that help make our users more efficient.
Solutions include:
Consumer and store-related roles
• Commerce tools for retail consumers and associates
• Mobile self service for the store employee prototype
• Mobile site manager prototype
• Field manager workpad for store walks, audits, training and visibility into exceptions
Distribution roles
• Observation tool for warehouse managers prototype
• Mobile Warehouse Management for inventory control supervisors and workers
Transportation roles
• Route delivery and verification for truck drivers
• Fleet Management for truck drivers
RedPrairie’s mobile solutions group’s charter is global. “Every country is at a different maturation point with mobile devices, but it’s important that we take best practices from around the globe to develop compelling and useful tools for our customers,” says Kozenski.
