Record Breaking Attendance at RedPrairie User Conference Underscores Growing Importance of Supply Chain, Retail Technology in Latin America

RedShift:2011 in Mexico City doubles attendance from previous years

ATLANTA and Mexico City – RedPrairie Corporation, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, today announced that its user conference in Mexico City, RedShift:2011, generated more than 500 registered attendees representing over 200 companies. This year's record breaking numbers are more than double the attendance from previous years.

RedShift:2011 was held at Hotel Nikko in Mexico City on October 25, 2011 and was co-hosted by RedPrairie partner netLogistiK, one of the leading supply chain consulting providers in Latin America. The conference agenda included an update of RedPrairie's development efforts throughout Latin America, along with product, customer and partner news and exhibitions.

The focus of the event, "Welcome to the World of Possible," was especially relevant to the Latin American market as it continues to outpace most economies. Forrester Research predicts software purchases will grow by 16.4 percent according to its Global Tech Outlook for 2011-2012 published in September 2011. Additionally, the Latin American market grew at over three times the rate of the WMS market as a whole in 2010, according to the ARC Advisory Group Warehouse Management Systems Worldwide Outlook published in April 2011. In the report, ARC Advisory Group predicts that Latin America will continue to experience above average growth rates in WMS sales over the next five years due to the currently low market penetration and high economic growth rates in the region.

With solutions deployed in more than 700 sites throughout Latin America, RedPrairie has invested heavily to serve its growing customer footprint which includes 50 of the largest companies in the region.

"Strengthening RedPrairie's competitive position in Latin America was a top priority in 2011," says RedPrairie's President of the Americas, Joe Juliano. "In order to serve our customers better, RedPrairie made strategic investments in talent, offices, partnerships and technology that would make RedPrairie the clear choice for companies looking to optimize their supply chain and retail operations in Latin America. Based on the feedback we're receiving from customers and attendance at this year's RedShift:2011, we're on the right track and we'll continue to be the leading supply chain and retail technology provider in Latin America moving forward."

Sponsors for RedShift:2011 in Mexico City included NetLogistiK, Microsoft, Motorola, Intermec, Vocollect, LXE/Honeywell, Accu-Time Systems Psion, STG, Navteq, Enfasis Logistica, Inbound Logistics and DC Transport.

"We were excited to co-organize this forum that brought together diverse leaders in the logistics and technology industries," says Francisco Giral, chief executive officer for NetLogistiK. "The industry today requires that companies offer complete solutions that help businesses meet the ever increasing needs of their customers at the lowest possible cost. Our strategic partnership with RedPrairie enables us to deliver productivity solutions which streamline the process across the supply chain and increases profitability for our joint customers."
