Sandvik goes live with RedPrairie Business Continuity services
High-technology engineering group will use solutions to decrease risk associated with hardware failure
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – RedPrairie Holding, Inc., a productivity solutions provider, announced today that Sandvik – a developer, manufacturer and marketer of high-technology industrial products – has gone live with RedPrairie’s Business Continuity services. Sandvik, a long time RedPrairie Warehouse Management customer, sought assurance their current business would continue to run in the event of significant hardware failure in their distribution facility.
“RedPrairie and Sandvik have had a close relationship since we first implemented their Warehouse Management solution,” says Andy Hamm, Sandvik IT Project and Application Support Manager. “Their organization is very familiar with our configuration and customizations, which gave us confidence they could properly mirror our existing hardware environment in the event of a hardware failure. In addition, we felt it prudent to take advantage of RedPrairie’s decade of hosting experience to ensure the best solution would be built.”
To ensure Sandvik’s business would not be interrupted, RedPrairie replicated Sandvik’s application server and established a direct link from RedPrairie’s data center to Sandvik’s distribution facility in Hebron, Ky.
“Our Hebron facility is now completely supported by RedPrairie’s Business Continuity solution,” Hamm continues. “In addition to security and risk mitigation, their service allows us to make the right decision for our business without being rushed due to faulty or failing hardware concerns.”
