RedPrairie sets record for online donations to Second Harvest Food Bank
Combined effort of U.S. offices and remote employees results in $14,000 donation to localized non-profit
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity software provider, has set the record for online donations to Second Harvest of Wisconsin, a member of the Feeding America network. Second Harvest of Wisconsin is one of 200 Feeding America food banks across the country. Second Harvest distributes more than 11 million pounds of food a year to 1,100 programs including food pantries, soup kitchens and meal programs.
RedPrairie’s offices in the United States combined efforts to support Second Harvest and their local Feeding America food banks, collecting donations both online and on-site for divisions near each location. RedPrairie held a series of events at its headquarters including a raffle and shopping cart relay to raise money, and provided for both cash and food donations at its annual company picnic.
“RedPrairie’s contribution has been remarkable this year,” says Bonnie Bellehumeur, president of Second Harvest of Wisconsin. “Our organization depends on companies like RedPrairie to fund our programs and help feed America.”
RedPrairie donated over $14,000 in cash and food items, including a company match of nearly $4,500.
