We The Living garners top number of votes in RedPrairie Tour Trials contest
Fans vote for best touring logistics story to award top cash prize
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity software provider, has announced that pop/rock band We The Living has garnered the top number of votes in the company’s “Tour Trials” contest that ran for the month of September. RedPrairie showcased the logistical challenges of touring bands,fans voted for their favorite stories – posted at http://www.redprairie.com/tourtrials – and awarded We The Living the top cash prize.
“It’s great to see people recognizing what a challenge it is to do what we do,” says We The Living’s guitarist, Matt Holmen. “The support all our friends, families and fans have shown us while we’ve been on tour definitely doesn’t go unnoticed, but it’s nice to see a company like RedPrairie recognizing the challenges groups like ours face while traveling.”
Three other groups that participated in the contest will also be awarded cash prizes – Liam & Me from Philadelphia, Pa.; The Melismatics from Minneapolis, Minn.; and The Effects from Tulsa, Ok. Each group shared their own logistics trials while traveling from coast to coast, and as far away as the Middle East.
“We consider it a tremendous privilege that each of these groups was willing to share their stories with us,” says RedPrairie Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Patrick Maley. “Most of the folks at RedPrairie don’t pretend to know what bands like these go through, but we can at least speak to how smart and exciting the logistics around their travels can be.
