Warehouse Tasking
Improve your productivity 10-30% without replacing your WMS
Warehouse operations looking to improve productivity or reduce costs without replacing their legacy systems can benefit from Warehouse Tasking, RedPrairie's task management solution.
Live in retail, manufacturing and logistics sites, Warehouse Tasking has delivered productivity gains and improved service levels for leading companies.
Because Warehouse Tasking complements ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, implementation is fast – typically 3-4 months. To maximize your ROI, it can be used in conjunction with either new or existing radio-frequency systems, including voice enabled picking modules.
Reprioritize resources to meet deadlines
Warehouse Tasking helps ensure that orders behind schedule are reprioritized and that resources are reassigned so that deadlines are met. In addition, a dashboard highlights the real-time picture of all orders and allows supervisors to override the system if required.
Warehouse Tasking controls over 40 business processes in the end-to-end flow of inventory from goods-in to goods-out, including:
- Housekeeping
- Labeling
- Loading
- Marshalling
- Pallet pick
- Picking
- Putaway
- Receiving
- Repacking
- Replenishment
- Returns
- Stock checking
- Stock sequencing
- Storing
Best practices built in
Orders are automatically allocated to the most appropriate picker based on the optimal route around the store, the skill, current location and activity level of operators and pick load. The system continually optimizes the pick sequence based on actual product positions within the warehouse, with precise pick instructions appearing on the handheld terminals.
Direct work is based on pre-defined best practice processes that have been proven in live environments to improve productivity and accuracy.
Full reporting and audit trail
Indirect as well as direct work is monitored to give a full picture of individual and site productivity. Each decision, scan and action is logged to continually check adherence to plan and provide an audit trail. A suite of reports allows management to identify persistent problem areas and take corrective action.
