Trends and Best Practices in Logistics & Transportation
Date: Wednesay, April 27, 2011
Duration: 1 hour
We are honored to have our distinguished speakers; Professors Mary Holcomb (University of Tennessee) and Karl Manrodt (Georgia Southern University) guide us through a discussion on the latest global Trends and Best Practices in Logistics and Transportation.
Together, Karl and Mary have been principal researchers in one of the longest running annual studies - Logistics and Supply Chain Trends and Issues. In 1991, Dr. C. John Langley and Dr. Karl B. Manrodt - recognized that logistics and transportation professionals needed relevant and up-to-date data and information in order to be better managers of these functional areas. The result was the undertaking of a study that investigated trends and issues in the field. Dr. Holcomb joined the quest for meaningful data and information for efficient Transportation and Logistics Management in 1994. Twenty years later, this study has become an annual examination of logistics, transportation and supply chain practice and the go-to source of information for many in our industry.
In this webcast, we will hear from the always informative and entertaining Professors about the year-over-year changes reported by over 800 companies globally in areas the influence the way you do business as a Logistician such as:
